On a flight aboard "Maggie", the last DeHavilland Beaver ever built and faithfully restored by Kenmore Air for service out of Lake Union to the San Juan Islands, I took this picture of Orca's breaching the surface while on final to Roche Harbor. Definitely a dorsal difference from Dall's, but for the uninitiated, the difference isn't black & white...

Great shot of that Pod. Fantastic dorsal fin on that big male, in captivity they are always slumped over.

I heard that they are building Beavers again, and exporting them worldwide.

Here's a picture of Maggie departing after our flight. She was a fun girl and I have fond memories, but she had a drinking problem...

She liked to take a swig of the crude stuff so frequently, her filler neck was in the cockpit...

Does anything shine as bright as the Northern Star at night? (pun intended)

Can a yacht's presence be so powerful it influences its surroundings?

In the photo or in the business sense? Or, is the sun rising (on Lazzara)?

Did you notice that it appears the bulbous bow has an underwater light in it also? Very cool seeing lights all around and not just at the aft end.

I'll make my contribution to this thread. It's the bow and gear from M/Y Sunrise.

Actually Tom, it has two lights in the bulb, an uplight to light the bow and a forward facing one! And yes the underwater lighting on NS isn't over kill as is the case on many large yachts...

From the freshly refit flybridge of "Lady Sharon Gale", a 111' Broward with a new retractable hardtop, this is yachting's version of the Denny's Grand Slam known as "Moon Over MiaHami"...

Ok, am I seeing something "off" about this pic?
If you look at the bottom of the photo where the front of the super structure meets the bottom edge of the photo, there is a cloud interrupting the line of the boat, like it's over it.

If I recall, that Christensen pic was taken by Neil R. who often P-Shops backgrounds into images. Check out the review of Sycara IV. ALL of the horizon-thru-window shots were digitally dropped in. Here's an example...

I saw that too. I just chalked it up to being a reflection.
