  1. Yachting Developments rolls out 30.48-meter sailing Cat "Q5"

The long awaited 30.48-meter long sailing catamaran "Q5" has been just rolled out the building shed at Yachting Developments. Although she will not be launched until June, she was rolled out so her mast could be stepped and be prepared to take to the water.

Built as YD66 to a design by Warwick Yacht Design she is a significantly sized sailing catamaran. She flaunts dark blue hulls with white superstructure and white mast and boom by Southern Spars while sails have been made by Doyle NZ. She is built as a sailing yacht but when needed her two 460 horse power CAT engines will run her to a top speed of 14-knots.

The interior of this luxury catamaran has been done by the well-respected British firm Redman Whiteley Dixon. You'll get ten guests sleeping in her five cabins along with space for six crew. Q5 has been built in composite and features a staggering 14.63-meter beam. Once launched, Q5 will be commissioned and sea trialed on Auckland’s Harbour and Hauraki Gulf before embarking on her maiden voyage across the pacific. She will be delivered to her owner(s) this Summer.
