Prop on a single engine yacht pitted and pinked with electrolysis. New prop installed and the former prop was refurbished. I'm looking for pros and cons of using the refurbished prop - is it "good as new" or more vulnerable?

If the prop shop got back to sound metal all is good. Most props I have seen that were electrolysis damaged were too far gone to be restored. A reputable prop shop would not repair the wheel if they were unable to get to solid metal.

I was told by a prop guy to always ping the prop with a hammer..
Thunk if the prop is rotten and tone if ok
