A question for all you guys operating in the sandy shallow waters out there....how often do you find your water lubed bearings and shafts are wearing out?
I would have thought that all that sand and the generally shallow water would cause a bit more wear than we're used to deeper rocky areas?

I run a 45' Cabo that cruises at 30-31knots in Belize. Half of the time I am running at cruise in fairly shallow water 8-10ft depth. There is virtually no increase in wear in those items when running because the sand kicked up is behind the running gear. The only time you will see increased wear is docking in shallow water if you get in the habit of stirring things up when docking.
