  1. "Happi Daze" Launched At Weaver Boat Works
Weaver Boat Works has launched the GK80 sportfisher which was under construction. She is called "Happi Daze" which is a name that you might have heard from this builder before. There was a GK75 with similar name ("Happy Daze") before so it is possible this is for a repeat customer. The new yacht was built by the cold mould method and power is brought by MTU 2,600 horse power diesel engines. Top-end speed is going to be in the region of 45-knots with a fast cruise of 38-knots.
  2. In photos provided by the builder from January 2018, the interior appears to have deep and rich wood paneling which contrasts with a marble-topped bar. Recessed lighting in the ceiling sides adds further warmth to the open-plan saloon. On the exterior, this yacht is built for sport fishing as the tuna-tower should suggest and the open transom with built-in gate.
  3. There is no enclosed flybridge, it is opened and has an upper-deck secondary helm station. Construction has been swift on this build. The yacht is reported to have started build in February 2016 and one year later the hull and superstructure were mated and since then the outfitting of the yacht was taking place. Now the launch has taken place almost a year later this month.
