News: Tankoa Yachts 50M S501 Construction Progressing

One of the newest yachts that Tankoa Yachts in Italy is currently building is the first hull in the new S501 line. The yacht is now a whole vessel after being assembled into her bare-bones existence to this point. She has her engine package onboard and is now ready for the next stage of construction. External surface fairing has started on the aluminium structure of the yacht. This yacht was sold to her current client in February of 2015 and construction started fairly promptly afterwards in May.

Once delivered, S501 will be going to a European owner, specifically one from France. The yacht’s guest spaces primarily exist on three decks –lower, main and upper deck-. The design is by none-other-than Francesco Paszkowksi with an interior design by Margherita Casprini –in part-. The first hull is expected to have a six-cabin layout for guests and owner. The master suite will be in its traditional location; forward on the main deck. The rest of guest accommodation will be on the lower deck. The guest accommodation is broken down to a VIP-grade suite, and four doubles. The master suite should be fitted with a fold-out balcony for the owner when completed. There are other fold-out balconies around other areas of the yacht too. Guests can enjoy fold-down balconies aft of the main deck area where part of the bulwark transforms into a small nook that is then secured with pop-in rails.

The near 50-meter aluminium superyacht (49.99-meter) is anticipated to run up to 18-knots with half-load onboard and be able to economically cruise to extend her range to about 4,500 nautical miles at 11-knots. Her twin MTU engines of 1.432 kW will give the power necessary. The yacht will have nice amenities onboard including a gym and a cinema. Plenty of lounging areas around the deck and a Jacuzzi for the guests add to the experience. This yacht is expected to be completed for her French owner in April of 2017.
