Selene Yachts Launch First Selene 92 Model

Coming in at just under 100-feet, the Selene Yachts 92 model has been started with the launching of the first hull. Jet-Tern marine, who is the builder for Selene Yachs launched the first hull in the 92-foot explorer line. With that happening, she now assumes flagship status in the Selene fleet. The 92-foot explorer was constructed in composite materials and boasts design lines inside and out by Guido de Groot. She is powered by a pair of CAT C-12 660 horse power marine diesels. She is not a sprinter so her cruising speed is at around 12-knots. The Selene 92 is basically a long range cruiser.

The build seems to have taken a while because this should have been launched in 2014 but finally good news emerges. The Selene 92 is capable of sleeping guests in up to five cabins. All cabins are located on the lower deck including the full-beam master suite amidships. Four other guest cabins are to the fore of the master to round out the accommodation for approximately ten. On the foredeck, forward of the wheelhouse, there is a jacuzzi that guests can enjoy while the yacht is at anchor or alongside. The flybridge is split-deck where the slightly lower aft section can be outfitted with loungers to relax on as well as be home to the vessel's tender. Walk forward and up a couple steps, there is comfortable seating under the composite hardtop along with a secondary navigation station with direct access to the wheelhouse below.
