  1. MCP Yachts Launch LE106 "Paradiso"
Brazilian yacht manufacturer MCP Yachts recently launched the second hull in the Limited Editions 106 line. If you cast your minds back you will remember the first hull was called “Mars”. The second hull is totally different in paint scheme with a metallic copper/tan appearance with the traditional white superstructure. The yacht was built in aluminium and designed by MCP’s in-house team. Did we mention the name she was christened is “Paradiso”? Well her new owner will surely be in Paradise when they take delivery of their brand new LE106.
  2. Paradiso is just over 100-feet or a shade under 33-meters LOA. She has a beam of 7.22-meters –not the widest in the world but it would suffice for a 106-foot yacht-. Paradiso can accommodate a maximum of eleven guests but probably ten would be her normal sweep. The accommodation for guests is split between two decks. Main guest berthing is on the lower deck where four cabins are available. The owner and a guest can have a master suite on the forward end of the main deck. Up to six crew members can be slept onboard.
  3. Her main tender is stored on the aft upper/sun deck while a PWC may be stored on the transom extension if needed. Back on the sun deck and it is apparent this is Paradiso’s relaxing area. Space is devoted to sun lounging with expansive sunpadding to the fore of the deck. Plenty more seating is to the starboard side and complemented by a table. Aft of this area is a Jacuzzi on the same starboard side. More seating is on the port side of the deck and located under the hardtop to keep the strong rays at bay. Paradiso was built as hull 089 naturally as the second hull after the first hull 088 christened as Mars.
  4. Her performance is pretty good by offering a 24-knot top speed sure to take you in between close islands such as in the Bahamas and other areas of the Caribbean. Dialed back a few knots you have her comfortable cruising speed. To attain that magical 3,000 nautical mile range the captain has to sail pretty slowly continuously. Below decks driving Paradiso are a pair of CAT C32 Acert marine diesels rated at around 1,825 horse power. This yacht even though she has so many similarities with her series-starter sister -Mars-, she is different. Her distinguishable copper-coloured hull and white superstructure is miles apart from the metallic silver-grey of the first hull (088). With a much more personalized interior and sundeck the experience onboard Paradiso should also be a bit different.
