"Lady DI II"; Third N80 Delivered

Nordhavn delivered the third unit in the N80 line to its owners around Thanksgiving 2023 and the yard recently released photos showcasing the interior of this particular vessel. The yacht was christened "Lady DI II" and is the owner's second Nordhavan. It is the first N80 featuring an interior by the Vripack studio. Aesthetics aside, the boat is said to be a mechanical masterpiece, providing a seamless blend of modern convenience with Nordhavn simplicity and redundancy. The electrical and engineering group at Nordhavn worked overtime on LADY DI II during her maiden voyage, a 10-day trip to Puerto Escondido.

The owners basically used a design from the interior renderings by Vripack for the N80 as the base and tweaked it to their own personal taste. They chose whitewashed American Oak as the main wood type to keep the mood bright and airy, echoing the lead set by enormous light-filled windows placed throughout the boat. Loose, comfortable furniture emphasize the casual, 'loungey' vibe the owners wanted while two different pale grey-veined styles of Neolith stone were used to affect luxury in the showers and galley.

LADY DI II is the second Nordhavn for the owners, who knew exactly what they wanted going into the project and relied on Project Manager Dave Harlow to realize the outcome. "The boat really is spectacular," said Harlow. "The fit and finish from the yard is outstanding and the Vripack design is clean, fresh, and well thought-out. Working with the team at Vripack was great. They had a firm grasp on the vision and were very responsive to our needs."

Vripack's involvement does not stop after the third N80, in-fact they are working on another future N80 currently in the works. After collaborating with Vripack on its N41 design, Nordhavn commissioned the highly regarded naval architecture and design firm to produce interior options for the N80 project. The owners of 80#5 also optioned their boat to have a Vripack-designed interior.
