First Nautor Swan 115 Flagship Launches Today (June 16)

Today has marked the launching of the new flagship for the Nautor Swan line, the Swan 115. The staging for this monumental event is at the company's Pietarsaari-based facility in Finland. According to their schedule, they aren't going to be wasting any time as the mast is anticipated to be stepped the following day. While many magazines suggest the first hull is an FD version, it definitely appears as hull one is an S variant, with a semi-raised saloon and the photos confirm this. The Flush Deck variant is on the second hull which is well advanced. In fact, four of these 115 yachts are in build all having owners.

The design for the flagship Swan 115 is done by German Frers and is being built in carbon composites to assure lighter construction but very strong integrity. Whether it is the high-performance lines of the Flush Deck or the more laid back cruising lines of the Saloon version, German Frers optimized the overall design to provide a perfectly working sailing machine. Expect that accommodation for guests are in four cabins which include a rather large fully beamward master suite that is towards the aft of the boat's hull . Six crew members should be able to be slept onboard as well.
