The first Hunt 80 built by Hunt Yachts has been completed and now is on delivery for the United States. This model -80-footer from their Ocean Series- now represents flagship status for the company. She is heading for the U.S where she is anticipated to be displayed on the East Coast. The 80-foot Ocean Series model is really intended for prospective owners who plan to head offshore as a rule. The yacht is the first in the series but the model itself will be available to buyers on a semi-custom regime. Basically, that will allow a potential owner to slightly customize certain elements onboard like accent pieces, decor elements, paneling and so on.

The first hull -pictured above and below- came with an accommodation layout that is suited for up to eight guests. This layout is inclusive of a full-width master suite on the lower deck. In fact, all the guest accommodation are located on the lower deck. The Hunt 80 isn't a slouch either with twin MTUs at 1,600 horse power each, her top speed is around 31-knots and high-speed cruising at 24-knots. If needed, an owner can select an even more powerful engine package. Despite her name as the Hunt 80, the yacht's LOA is really 87-feet. Despite her length, she only has a 4-foot draft which would allow shallow cruising-ground runs. The Hunt 80 provides a platform with three comfortable levels (decks) while still being under the 100-foot threshold.
