  1. First Bering 70 Launches In Turkey
Bering's radically styled Bering 70 has been launched in Turkey. Even though Bering is known for explorer and trawler type yachts, this yacht -the first in their 'YachtShip' series- is going to be best known for coastal cruising. Completion is expected to be swift with initial sea trials planned for mid-September and delivery in November. The bow is one of the main design features to change for Bering. Not only does it appear stylish it is also very functional. The absence of a large overhanging bow reduces the reserve buoyancy that creates the lift/pitch in an approaching wave.
  2. Staying true to the schedule the Bering 70 did launch in early September as Bering anticipated. The interior is one of contemporary nature with emphasis on a mahogany materials to finish. The layout calls for guests to be slept in a three-stateroom configuration. Of course this is only the layout on hull 1 but owners can configure the layout how they wish. With twin Cummins QSB diesels, this 21-meter motoryacht will be able to run as far as 2,500 nautical miles at an efficient speed. Her top speed is anticipated to be 11-knots but will be confirmed on sea trials.
