  1. Delta Marine 72-meter Superyacht "Albatross"
Delta Marine launched their latest yacht last month, a 72-meter superyacht called "Albatross". With a flag blue hull and snow white superstructure, she beckons the attention of onlookers. At first glance the superyacht appears much like the Lurssen superyacht "Polar Star". Albatross now represents the second largest superyacht -by length- the American yard has launched to date. Naval Architecture is suspected to be in-house by the Delta Designers while the exterior has been pinned to Espen Oeino.
  2. Not much is known about this superyacht even up to this point but her construction appears to be in steel for the hull and apparently a composite superstructure. When launched the yacht had to be towed away on a barge and splashed, then towed back to Delta Marine facilities in order for fitout to continue and preparation for sea trials as well. Accommodation appears to be on three decks, the upper, lower and the forward main deck. Vertical rectangular windows on the forward main deck denote possible lavish accommodation for the owner or a VIP guest. The forward upper deck at bow level showcases panoramic wrap-around windows, very likely to an area belonging to the owner. Albatross's tenders are stored in a dedicated garage in the aft lower deck while there is a deck crane on the upper aft deck. As more information comes to hand YF will let you know.
