  1. Build Progress On Baltic 112 Custom
Construction is well underway on the Baltic 112 Custom yacht. It is being built for an experienced owner who will utilize the vessel for world-wide cruising and enter the yacht in occassional racing circuits. The vessel has a design by Malcolm McKeon and the 34.14-meter hull has been built in two sections to allow easier access in the build. The halves were then rotated and joined together to make the complete hull.
  2. The interior design details have not been released as yet so we cannot tell you much at this stage. We know that the designer is the Adam Lay Studio and accommodations onboard will be for up to eight guests in four cabins. The arrangement of the cabins will be for a full-beam master suite, a VIP, and two twin cabins. Crew members will be situated aft and the yacht has provision to sleep up to five of them.
  3. The utilization of carbon fiber in the design allows for the construction to remain lightweight as the result is expected to be just 84-tonnes. A telescoping keel will allow for the draft to be reduced and increased when needed. In blue water sailing, the keel can be extended down to 6.15-meters (or around 20-feet). When coming into anchorages or marinas the keel can be reduced to 3.91-meters (or approximately 13-feet). The external cockpit is where the majority of common socialization will take place and therefore McKeon integrated a carbon fiber bimini that is a work of art in itself. It just leaps off the back end of the superstructure to provide protection to the cockpit from the weather.
