Esenyacht 47-meter Sailing Yacht 'Troy' Progressing Towards Delivery

This article is more of an update on the 47-meter sailing yacht Project 'Troy' by Turkey-based yard Esenyacht. Work has been going on for a while on this new near-50-meter sailing yacht. The fast cruising sloop has Naval Architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects and interior as well as exterior design work by Tim Saunders. The 325 gross tonne sailing yacht is being built according to MCA LY2 and RegistroItallianoNavale“CXHull, ● Mach Ych. The rig built in conformance with Registro Italiano Navale as well and the yacht is expected to be Green Plus certified – Platinum ( Environment Friendly ).

Her construction is in steel for the hull and a carbon hybrid composite for the superstructure. Project Troy is supposed to be powered via a single CAT C32 ACERT A-Rated 1000 BHP marine diesel engine. The interior is rather interesting with a number of woods and veneers chosen for the project. Internal joinery style as per design of Tim Saunders Design are comprised of Mahogany, Fumed Oak, Eucalyptus, Cheswood, Walnut and Teak. Accommodation will be for up to twelve (12) guests and nine (9) crew members. The aft main deck is expected to have a jacuzzi while the flying bridge is going to be a relaxation haven with multiple sunpads and settees. Delivery of fast cruising sloop Project Troy is anticipated for delivery a bit later this year.
