Heesen sells 55-meter superyacht 'YN17255'​

Dutch yacht builder Heesen has successfully sold its first 55-meter Fast Displacement superyacht. So far, hull 'YN17255' is the largest fast displacement being built in steel and aluminum for Heesen and Heesen is proud to announce her sale. The new vessel is designed by Omega Architects with Naval Architecture by Van Oossanen and Heesen's in-house team.

The vessel has been designed to go a bit faster yet burn less fuel and that is expected to increase the range. YN17255 is expected to employ a pair of MTU 12V 4000M53 marine engines that will run her to a top speed of 16.5-knots. She will have an amazing 4,500-nautical mile range running consistently at around 13-knots.

The interior set up is based around accommodation for twelve guests in six cabins located on the lower deck and the forward main deck. The forward main deck sees the master stateroom taking residence while on the lower deck there is a VIP-type suite as well as two doubles and two twins. Looking at the design, Heesen used the bow area to create a garage for the yacht's main tenders. What this also does is free-up the lazarette area for a large beach-club and gym. YN17255 is expected to be completed in 2015.
