  1. CMN Shipyards rolls out the 60-meter "Slipstream"

The long and anticipated launching of the new "Slipstream" has arrived. Though at the present time, the new 60-meter black-hulled megayacht has been rolled out of the shed she wont be launched just yet. She was rolled out of her finishing shed on Tuesday March 3rd. Her splash date is on Saturday 7th March 2009.

The beautiful black hull is contrasted smartly with a sliver-grey superstructure which in totality was designed by Andrew Winch Designs. Her launch is timely as she is due to attend the upcoming Genoa Charter Show. This 60-meter luxury charter yacht will be able to accommodate up to 14 guests in unsurpassed luxury and comfort.

The Slipstream's capacious interior is aided by her very comfortable 11.20-meter overall beam. Project 801 as she was known as in construction, has a finished draft of 3.45-meters. Calculated to weigh just over 900 Tonnes or Gross Tonnage of 1093, her voluminous interior is both spacious and airy, taking away the feeling of heaviness.

The enormous master bedroom comprises full-beam characteristics and an equally capacious observation region. Interestingly, there is a VIP-cabin situated on the Bridge-deck featuring a generously sized balcony region. Other accommodations are on the lower deck for guests and crew alike.

To power her steel hull and aluminum superstructure through the water, the Slipstream employs 2 X CAT 3516B Rating C marine engines. These engines are anticipated to power her to 15.2 knots and give her a 5,000 NM range and above at slower speeds. 3 X 164 KW GENSETS will provide electrical power whilst 1 X 48 KW will provide back-up assurance in emergencies.

Slipstream's open decks are spacious with plenty of space at the rail loungers or at the chair. Equally, there is room for a plethora of sunpads on the Sun-Deck. Sunpads wrap around the large jacuzzi on the fore of the Sun-deck. On the aft-region, more sunpads are available.

In conclusion, Slipstream is a beautifully crafted piece of design styling by Andrew Winch Designs. The interior styling was also handled by this renowned design firm. Slipstream after completion is destined for the Genoa Charter Show and then Summer Charter Seasons.
