  1. Sarp Yachts Unveil Hybrid Range At MYS
The 2017 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) ended on the 30th of September but Sarp Yachts unveiled a new range at the show. YF told you about the 55-meter Nacre project they unveiled but they also took the veil off a trio of yachts in a new Hybrid Propulsion range. The XSR Range is the new line of yachts from this builder and it comprises three yachts. The XSR 85, 105 and 125 are the individual vessels in the new range and Sarp expects to build examples from all three on speculation.
  2. All three units in the range will benefit from Van Oossanen's Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) technology to allow for efficiency and great performance. Red Yacht Design of Turkey have collaborated on the design as well as the interior. The largest of them is the 38.2-meter XSR125 will have a range of around 1,800 nautical miles with a top speed above 14-knots. She will also be able to accommodate twelve guests. The XRS105 will have a range of 900 nautical miles and sleep eight guests with a top speed of 20-knots. Emre Sandan of Sarp yachts says the yachts, "will be built with the parallel hybrid propulsion systems; the best alternative for the fossil fuels. The hybrid propulsion system enables you to avoid the noise, vibrations, emissions and expense of running your diesel generators at anchor."
