"Panther 2", the different twin by MondoMarine

In 2007, MondoMarine shipyards launched the sleek and petit "Panther" designed by Giorgio Vafiadis and an interior by Luca Dini. Almost a year later-2008-, a twin but a 'different twin' emerged from the facilities of MondoMarine. She is aptly been christened "Panther2" and reflects the owner's delight in building two beautifully designed yachts.

However, if you step aboard both yachts, a marked interior difference will be evident. Panther has an interior that is widely characterized by premium exotic wood veneers whilst the Panther2 is clearly splashed with a chromatic bath of vibrant colors. Panther2's interior vibrancy is clearly seen in the use of soft colored recessed lighting contrasted by bright chromatic lighting in the rain shower heads of the shower, for example.

Elsewhere onboard, Panther2 white plush-quality sofas and seating regions are contrasted by bright splashes of colour from the assorted throw cushions. A wide variety of materials were used throughout Panther2 reflecting harmonious melding of Luca Dini and the owner's ideas. Olive wood, marbles, Onyx, matt and glossed laminates and treated leathers all adorn the interior of this wonder yacht.

Furthermore, the more vibrant colors of the spectrum chosen to represent the owner's wishes. The playful use of color and material were not limited to the public spaces on the yacht, in fact they extend into the accommodation areas of Panther2. Even aspects such as the Owner's Suite to the fore of the Main Deck were not spared from the attention to detail. "The bedhead wall was realized for the Owners by an artist of Viareggio: The wood was dug and groved by hand and then painted by using temperas and acrylics."

The rest of the accommodation is intricately designed with bright fabrics and LED lighting. This is even more apparent in the bathrooms where the rain shower heads produce a waterfall colored water for the ultimate bath-treatment in chromotherapy. The exterior decks on the Panther2 were spared little from the colored array pervading the yacht's interior.

Bright blues command the exterior seating upholstery on the Sun Deck juxtaposed with a large rectangular jetted tub tucked into the port aft corner of the deck. A splash of pink neon for the transom door nameplate and pink color for the boot line of Panther2 provide subtle hints to what awaits the guests on the interior.
