I've seen bow seats on other vessels. They provide a unique vantage point. At cruising speed, it's not unlike flying across the water; a thrilling ride for charter guests. I believe "Home" was a charter boat for one of the seasons of Below Deck. It's possible they were used for filming too.
Not my cup of tea but the owner of the boat obviously designed it, good for him. (I have also done crazy stuff on my dime, my problem) No SS railings, a recessed foredeck with elevated coamings instead?
