    A New "Shipyard" is Launched!

For the past several months, we've been building a classified listing system that harnesses the collective knowledge of our forum members. The new listing system is called "The Shipyard". Since 2003, hundreds of private-party boats have been sold through our classifieds, including numerous new build contracts. Now, we've built a dedicated classified listing system for the yacht brokerage industry...

In July 2016, we broke a traffic record with 1.23 million visitors. If you're a member of YF, you know our discussions are a big reason for our traffic. Experienced owners, buyers, captains and engineers exchanging relevant information, free of the ad-libs that litter many websites.

The Shipyard features a broker control panel that is intuitive, yet powerful! A step-by-step wizard walks you thru the upload, but here's the best part...

    1. Most listings will top a Google search!
    2. Listing images display at a whopping 1000 pixels!
    3. The most in-depth listings will be featured on the front page of YachtForums!
    4. Buyers can search for discussions related to each boat with one click!
    5. Pictures are in 'review' format; no clicking required. Simply scroll.
    6. Each image has editorial space for broker comments & listing details.
    7. Unlimited number of images and editorial on each listing.
    8. Image uploads are easy with a simple drag & drop function.
    9. A 'search' function with simple drop down lists and range sliders, eliminating manual input.

Here's a partial screen shot of the Listing Upload page...

Update: we're currently working on a script that will connect the dedicated "Yachts for Sale" forum on the index page with the Shipyard display pages. This is part of our SEO architecture. Once complete, I'll begin reaching out to the brokerage industry.
