    And due to a different storm, South Carolina is torn up really bad too. Don't buy a used car that's ever been to the state. It's a storm there like never before. Called a 500 year storm although now some are going to 1000 year in describing it. The official state record prior to this was Myrtle Beach from Hurricane Floyd with 14.8 inches. Mount Pleasant got 26.88 inches from this storm, Georgetown 20.95.

    You're right that the information has been slow coming from the Bahamas and even slower from Turks and Caicos, much because communication was shut down by Joaquin. Joaquin now appears to have moved on from Bermuda into open sea while continuing to weaken.
