Hurricanes are good for Florida... :)

They scare people away. This softens the home buying market and makes real estate affordable again!

Have to admit... that would be nice a silver lining in these dark clouds. ;)

It's now a Category 5 and is moving towards the gulf where a cold front is suppose to do a Charley on it.

This is going to be soooo much fun I can't wait! I mean, I've been having a blast all these weeks with clean up after clean up!

This is FREAKIN' ridiculous!!! What are the odds that THREE hurricanes would hit Florida in one year, or that one of them would take an identical track. I'm starting a new website, HurricaneBets.com. Anybody willing to wager where this one might land? :(

    Poor Mickey Mouse

Latest Track I have seen shows it roaring up Port Charlotte Harbor (again  )

And then headed right for Orlando.... Mickey Mouse is gonna be a waterlogged rodent!

All in all its been a bad... and unique season.

Well guys.... Hurricane Frances cost me only, about $200. The guide wires on the port outriggers snapped. My fellow boaters here in Stuart and Ft. Pierce didn't fare too well.

Here in Stuart, a 105' steel boat ("Special Delivery"), broke loose from the dock and took out three marinas before stopping at Krogen's dock. It had to 70' Hatteras Sportfisherman with it. I would post pictures, but they are high definition.

Ft. Pierce City Marina is wiped out. All of the floating docks went over the pilings taking all of the boats with them. It's a very sad site, to see all of the boats piled on top of each other. I was trying to get a slip there. Someone, was on my side.

If Ivan is headed for the State of Florida (east coast), I'm heading to the Bahamas on Saturday morning.
