I am a first year student in college and I am obsessed with yachts. In fact I want to learn about building large fiber glass yachts, and also more about the industry.

Does anyone know how I can do this? Any books?

    Thanks

Head up to washington state. It is the US boat building hub of fiberglass boats over 100'. You should consider yourself lucky that you live on that coast if that is the biz you want to get into.

216@AQUA, you could gain some basics at Chapman's [http://www.chapman.org] or go out on the dock and hire yourself out to crew in exchange for experience - not often, but sometimes there may be some takers. :D
You can start learning about the industry at [http://www.nmma.org]

I forgot, this is an other good school:
