    Good afternoon YF'ers,

I have a quick question. I was thinking that for valentine's day, my girlfriend and I could take a trip down to So. Florida for a weekend since we have both been working a lot and I am hoping to find a boat to stay aboard (for a fee) as opposed to staying in a hotel. We both love boating (both of our family's have boats), enjoy being on the water, and I stay in enough hotel rooms a year on business so I thought that this would be a little more relaxing. I am not looking to go anywhere or be catered to, and we are both neat/low-maintenance. There are a couple of boats that do this sort of thing down in the Keys, but I don't think we'll have enough time to get all the way down there and back.

Please advise if you know of anybody that could help me out with my "dockside" vacation idea. We are flexible on dates.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Most charters are "plus fuel". You can certainly charter boats in the Miami & Ft. Lauderdale area. That doesn't mean you have to cruise. If the boat doesn't have a F/T crew you can let the owner/broker know that none will be needed although they may want to have one on call for you at a nominal charge to show you how to operate the systems or in case you have a problem with them. You won't find these under B&B though. Contact a broker.
