Can anyone advise proper diameter, pitch, bore length, 3-4 blade?
What wheels were on the boat when it left Bertram.
    Thanks!

Go to a professional. My 1984 Bertram 54 with 12V71TI power 800hp and Twin Disc 1.51 to 1 had Michigan Wheel Nibral 28x28 3 Blade props. Shafts 2.5". The props were original (or something like that) and the engines would pull the full 2350 rpm's. WOT approx 25-26 knots in optimal conditions.

I just installed Michigan Wheel 4 Blade DQX Nibral 28x27. The cupping is custom based on the computer generated numbers derived from the original props, boat weight, hull type, power, transmission ratio, WOT RPM, speed.

I'm hoping for an improvement!! The boat goes back in the water tomorrow. I'll complete performance numbers and the shop will do some more work to the props if necessary to get them right.

The shop I used is Accutech Marine Propeller in Dover NH.

Another is S&S in Flushing NY.

What year is your boat, what is the power of the engines, what is the gear ratio of the transmissions. (my 1.51 is not optimal ... the 1.75 would have been better).

    Tell us about your boat!

    Bayside,
    1990 is year 12v92s are 1080 hp.
Don't know what my ratio is.
Let me know how you do tomorrow.
By the way, bought a set of s&s for my old boat (50 Hatteras). Very dissatisfied to say the least!

Took the boat for a cruise today with the new props:

Smooth as silk. The money was worth it for that alone.

2350 WOT is 26 knots (never seen that before)

    1850 Cruise is 20.5 knots

1450 Long Range Cruise is 14 knots

600 rpm idel is 7 knots.

Nice job Accutech! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
