Do a search, there are LOTS of things posted about Azimuts, most of them negative. I'd be looking at a Sunseeker personally.

One issues with many Azimut (and other euro boats) is that they can be difficult to board from a side dock as they are designed for European stern boarding

Either they lack side gates or even just places to step on. Many Azimuts have those bulges on the side of the swim platform without non skids. I ve seen two (75 and 80 I think) at my marina where the owners have added non stick in skid pads.

On large azimut I ve stepped on a few months ago (90 I think) had serious delamination in that same area. Very soft... not confidence inspiring

Must be why some 2008 116s are asking only $4-5M when it retailed for probably €12M.

You need to be skinny and agile or have a short and skinny son if you do any maintenance yourselves.
Some items (water pumps) some ole guys just can't reach.

Keep that in mind when you hire out for repairs.

    Uh?

No, don't hire fat guys that can't find their knees.

They probably can't get to some items needing maintenance, If they did, they broke something else along the way.

Most used 35 meters of the same size and age have more or less the same price. Considering Azimut is usually competitive in this segment may be owners are losing less money.

I think with boats of a certain size, and I consider the 75 in this bracket is all about the maintenance they have.
Full time or part crew can make a big difference, and then again the quality of the crew can do it again.
I suggest to go and have a look, and then follow it up with a view on Sunseeker, Princess and Ferretti. View a few yachts.
Used to take care of a 2002 80 Carat for some time and I was not disappointed with the quality of the fittings.
