    I am needing to purchase new line this year and wondering if anyone prefers any specific brand? I have a Lewmar windlass and need to get about 200' of 5/8" 3 strand line. I am considering New England ropes through a respected online dealer or West Marine's premium brand.....any thoughts or other brand recommendations?

    I appreciate any comments or advice.

    New England ropes is quality line. Miami Cordage also has good line. I would put as much chain in front of the line as possible and remember it will have to be spliced to the line so it goes through the windlass.
