American builders and shipyards

I am in the market for a marine job. The problem is, I don't want to relocate all the way to Italy or anywhere in Europe for that matter.(unless the company decides to hire me and pay for some of the relocation expenses.) I have quite a bit of marine and entry level engineering experience.

I want to know, is there anyone aware of any builders in california. Maybe just simple sport boat builders or something of the kind? Can you help me with a search?
