Hi guys, anyone here work on this at all?

My boat ( 2002 50') has the sport pod helm with single lever Glendinning controls. The unit is an EEC-1000 and has both electronic and manual cables. The detent is very strong getting in and out of Neutral, and I find myself really jerking it in and out of neutral, many times revving the engine more so than I would like when docking.

Has anyone adjusted their detent strength, is it possible?

On the older Glendinning controls, there is a screw located in the front of the unit that will increase/decrease the indent. The unit (primary unit) is located nearest the gearbox, usually on the port gear. Check the manual if you have one. It is a relatively easy adjustment. The fact that yours is very strong may mean there is a cable issue, again, not a big problem to find and fix.
