   Port side trans. Shifts smooth into forward, shift lever rotates correctly to stop mark when put in reverse but doesn't shift. Shaft turns very slow if you increase power. Mechanic says it has to be removed to check if can be repaired.....please, any feedback

   Your slippage may be from a simple o-ring leak in the shift assembly 1 hour check and fix on top of the trans.
