In spite of reviewing a number of questionable comments regarding this vessel, after a survey and one hour sea trial I purchased it to replace our 390 Dancer. Immaculate, freshwater only and with 400 hours the design was exactly what we were looking for.

I noted Surfside 3 recommended for parts in the future, if needed. Any other recommendations for contacts or forums that offer suggestions in a more positive light?

Are you happy with your purchase so far? We are looking at buying one also.

I really like the looks of the 43S.

I took care of a 43S for some years and the real major problem I had with it was the IPS and its clutches going nuts after the sixth season. Not a cheap fix at 2k a pop.
There is clutch upgrade now since some years and they should at least serve 8/10 years versus the 4/5 years of the older version.

Define flooded... how high did the water go? Salt or fresh? If there was significant amount of water inside, it s almost never worth it

I was hoping some Mut owners would chime in but, not yet.
While were waiting, can you send some pictures of the door, latches and description of what is/is-not happening when you try to secure the door.
Is there a stb side door with similar hardware? Con you comment on how that door is working?

If another owner does not come onto this thread, maybe we can figure out the hardware and figure out your issue.

Also, MarineMax used to support these boats. Any communications with them yet?

As many of us have learned the hard way, factory manuals (with details) are non existing.
But, just in case, do you have any data on these doors or hardware involved?

There should be a latch on the bottom or a hook to hold it place. Probably something you need to add your self. What year is the boat?

on my 2008 43S, our sliding door is binding and thus not sliding smoothly. Does anyone have directions on how to adjust the door i.e. how to hang it so it will not bind at the bottom?

    Dear Friends

I have this 07 Azimut 43S and my rear engine room access ladder, the one that you need to open the seat to go inside the engine room

So, my ladder have the steps in angle and one of the ladders feet don't even reach the floor at all

I wonder if any of you guys may know what my problem is and if you have pictures of your ladder assembled in the boat

    Thank you all

    Ricardo

Well yes, who ever installed this was a SFB.
Get some rubber feet on the exposed tubes and remount the top correctly, so both legs are plumb on that bilge plate.
Don't forget to insert a large washer in each rubber foot to keep the tube from cutting thru.
