I just read an announcement about the launch of a new 48M Palmer Johnson sport yacht -- it is in the Yacht forums new launch section. http://www.**********************/2014/07/21/palmer-johnson-launches-48m-supersport-superyacht/ Whatever one thinks about the appearance of this new yacht, I wonder if I am the only person who questions the ability to pilot this boat safely? The relatively tiny, heavily slanted pilothouse windshield appears to have no view below the bow of the boat for hundreds of yards ahead. In addition, in certain sun conditions I would think there would be severe glare from the deeply slanted windshield. Maybe someone here will correct my opinion that the boat could be quite tricky, possibly even dangerous to drive at high speeds with such a constricted view from the pilothouse. Some of the PJ sport yachts are sort of slick in a James Bondish way, but this one seems to me to be pretty contorted and misshapen. The side contours are very severly sculpted and just look akwkward near the stern to me. Do some find it good looking?
Looking at the photo my first reaction was how the hell do you see in any conditions. Maybe the port looking holes below the bow sheer are high quality cameras. The design looks pretty silly to me.
