Looking casually at a CPMY. An early model 70 CPMY caught my eye.

Anyone have any insight into ride, known structural issues, common problems or items to watch out for??

    Thanks in advance!

You might need to get more information on the vessel in question. "CPMY" is the industry acronym for "CockPit Motor Yacht". A google search did not find a maker using those initials as a company identifier.. CPMY showed up as a model designation for every builder producing such a variant.

Meister,. I was referring to the 70' Hatteras CPMY that was manufactured under the AMF era ownership, from early 1970's to Mid 1980'sor so.

Whoops! My mistake, I didn't notice what forum heading it was in. Sorry!
Otherwise, I've heard that the output under AMF was highly prone to hull blisters. Like all word of mouth lore, that may or may not be accurate, or even model specific. I do recall spending three months in a Florida yard next to a shorter one in 1995 that had been peeled. Once a week, the yard operators (AMT) would go wave the moisture meter over it. I would guess that the affected hulls from that era have all been dealt with, by now.
I've delivered one from the San Francisco area to Seattle, and back to Los Angeles. That one was well maintained and rode well at displacement speeds. We didn't torture-test it in the really heavy stuff, though.
