    Don,
My Dad worked at Grebes from 1947 until the yard closed in 1995 (I think that was the closing year). His name was Jerry Ondrla. I have a list somewhere of all of the boats that Grebe produced since its inception in Milwaukee. I will see if I can find it and post it for you. I have lots of photos that Dad gave me. Awesome boats from great craftsmen.

Hmmm,...., dare I ask about the crest on the bow? Looks suspiciously like a Trumphy "T", no?

Hi! I'm trying to find the original plans for 1948 Full Moon that we charter in boston harbor. Does anyone know the name of the company that bought Grebe? I hear that company/person has the plans. Catherine

Jerry Ondrla was in the electrical department when I worked there as I recall for the record.

Catherine, I'd be interested to know what you find, I am searching for the 67 ft boat built just before Full Moon, "Loch Lomond". I found a website from its original owner with lots of images, he sold it in '49 and the boat then became LARK, then Houqua, then my Uncles boat in 1954 - Psaras II, CG no. 254163. Last registered as Miss Carol Ann in the 80's, possibly in Texas. I have an ad with Full Moon on it (and the boat I am looking for), CG no. 254163.

Thanks to all who've been of help here. Here's an update on Grebe for anyone interested. Have amassed a collection of pictures, information and people involved with the yard, new owners, and have located most of the boats we've been a part of.
The Full Moon is in NYC at North Cove Marina near the pier off Brookfield Center , as a tour boat, redone last year by Scarano Boat Building, in Albany.

Anyone needing any info, connections for anything Grebe, am glad to help with your search. Looking forward to writing a couple of articles in the future, Lord willing.
    Blessings,
    Don

    Hi,
Top picture of the Loch Lomund is it's launch at the Grebe yards. In the background is one of the roller coasters at Chicago's then World Class amusement park Riverview. Neither the park nor Grebe's yard are in existence. Both bowing (pardon the pun) to urban development, shopping and condo's.

    Eric,
It's been a long time, and a lot of searching, but did find Millie Jean for sale in Greece at last notice, due to the work of a friend who is a Grebe fan and spent summers with her family on one of the boats. Thanks for your help.
