First Astondoa 110 Century Hull Launched

Spanish builder Astondoa kicked-off the new year on the right note with the launching of the first hull in their 110 Century line. The yacht has been launched ahead of the Miami Boat Show which takes place in February. The launching has more significance than just being another launch for the company. Astondoa is celebrating 100 years and the Astondoa 110 Century helps commemorate this. Performance is also part of the package with this type of yacht and the 110 Century is anticipated to run up to 24-knots full speed. Twin MTU 16V 2000 M84's are in the engine room to facilitate this. She has space for a couple toys too with the main tender stored in the aft garage and two PWCs cleverly hidden under the foredeck.

Astondoa created a wonderful design both sleek and sporty in element. The interior is also something special which is the work of designer Cristiano Gatto. It is based on light airy tones, creams and sands with a splash of colour from accent pieces. The large windows throughout also add to the light and airy experience while giving superb views and letting in a wealth of natural light. Guests sleep below decks on the lower deck in two twin and two double cabins with Queen berths. The owner's master suite is located forward on the main deck and rounds out accommodation for up to ten guests. If the owner had extras that came to crash the party, then the sofas in the main saloon could convert into beds as perceived necessary. The GRP-made vessel is rumoured to be called "Sophie" but we will wait for official word. Look out for her full and official reveal in February when she comes to Miami for the show.
