  1. With many expedition style yachts, comfort and accommodations take a back seat to purpose or utility. Bering's are built with world cruising in mind, so ample space is dedicated to provisions, wardrobe, storage and accessibility beyond the back wall of a closet or deck floor. On a long passage, you don't just live on a boat. You have to live with it!
  2. The bulbous bow, with inset thruster, has a sharper vertical entry than most bulbs. The purpose behind this design is not only draw the bow wave lower at the waterline, but to minimize the pressure coefficient along the side of the bulb. Obviously the bulb is weighted to reduce pitching in heavy seas but it also serves as a collision compartment should this steel sled slam into something unforgiving.
  3. Bering's hybrid hull design is one part round bilge, one part hard chine and one part bilge keel. The result is better passive stabilization by presenting a some hard edges to resist lateral rolling motions, but still maintaining the dampening characteristics of a round bilge hull. This can be most effective at anchor or in a beam sea.
  4. The shafts and props are located in skeg housings that provide increased directional stability and will help hold course heading should it be necessary to run on one engine. This configuration gives the ability to rest on her own bottom if needed for hull inspections or simply bottom cleaning. Or if you misjudge a tide!
  5. The Bering 77 has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8-knots . Running at 1,200 RPM she will burn a combined 10 gallons per hour and travel continuously for several weeks, nonstop. While the Bering 77' is ready to explore the deepest oceans, it won't explore the depths of your wallet. Pricing on the new 77' is 3.9 million fully equipped, minus a dink and premium, upgraded electronics or navigation systems.

No Boundaries. No Limits. Know Bering!
