  1. Tankoa Yachts Sell First 50-meter Superyacht 'S501'
The first 50-meter by Tankoa Yachts has been sold! The first hull in the 50-meter line known as S501 was actually introduced and unveiled at the 2014 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) back in September. The superyacht was sold to an experienced French client and is slated to start construction in earnest in April of 2015 and then be launched in April 2017. The build is in collaboration with Francesco Pazskowski with a very luxurious contemporary interior affair that focuses on tans, off-whites, with darker veneers on furniture pieces for contrast. Mirrored finishes are also being utilized to up the reflective nature and apparent spacious appeal of the interior. The first hull is expected to have a six suite layout for guests including a full beam master suite and VIP on the main deck. The other four guest cabins are situated on the lower deck.
  2. As spacious as the interior is, the exterior decks are not lacking in that area either. There is a focus on relaxation and sunning with the plethora of sun pads, beds and loungers available on each exterior deck. Performance wise, the S501 will be powered by dual MTU 8V 4000 54R to a speed of 16-knots. Dial her back to around 12-knots and a 5,000 nautical mile range can be expected. The higher cruise speed is set at 14-knots. Full load displacement is just under 400 tonnes for this all-aluminium superyacht. She will have an LOA of 49.90-meters with a BOA of 9.40-meters and a fully loaded draft of 2.20-meters. Look out for this build in April 2017, however in the meantime you can expect Tankoa Yachts to launch S693 in July 2015.
