Looking for a swim platform for 46 post 2 1990 any one know where i could get used or new boat is in ct.
I made mine for my post, between stainless brackets that I had a local shop make, fiberglass, gelcoat, stainless hardware, and wood it cost me about 2000.00 to make
Arrigoni can make up a teak platform for you. I had mine made by Butler 14 years ago, I think they were located in NJ if they are still in business.
Lucky Dog, - Did you ever end up getting the swim platform? If so, did you end up using Butler Marine? How wide is it off of the transom? About how many inches inward is the platform from the end of the transom on each side? How high off the water did you mount it? If anyone else has any Swim Platform advice please let me know. Looking to add one to my 42. Also thinking about using some of the new Dinghy Davit technologies for the platform as well. ideally it would like to carry a 10 ft hard bottom with about a 10 - 15 hp motor. Thanks
That's a lot of weight to be hanging off a 42's transom. Consider effect on cruising trim, and diesel soot. That outfit will require a sizable platform and a good cradle system.
