The CEO of Sunseeker, Stewart McIntyre,, has abruptly quit, leaving founder/chairman Robert Braithwaite to take the reins while they look for a new Boss. Just how much are they losing building the big boats? How difficult are the Chinese owners to deal with? Sunseeker boss Stewart McIntyre abruptly leaves luxury yacht builder | Business | theguardian.com
I don't know how much they're losing building big boats. But I have seen many builders go bigger and bigger and then gone because they're not really suited to build bigger boats. I really think their fortay is 100'<, and quite honestly I feel they've let their boats in that marketshare become a little stale and haven't really updated them. I work for a Sunseeker owner that owns a 62' Predator. He wants a slightly bigger FB boat and won't even consider Sunseeker because he wants a fiberglass hardtop and they don't build one with one just a bimini top that you really cannot even asthetically put strataglass on that looks right.
