    Over the past 5 years I have to replace the two thermostats twice. What is it with these thermostats? Up/down temp button won't go both ways or cannot get to program menu by pressing off/set. Does anyone have this issue? IMO seems Dometic could build a better thermostat.

    Big SMX panel or the lil SMX / IR with a cover door? The big panel was junk, lil panel (with door) lasted about the same as the PassPort panels did.

    Make sure it s not a wiring issue. I ve had that happened a couple of times, either the connector in the back of th panel or a coupler for those phone style connectors hidden in the wiring to the compressors in the ER that had corrosion.

    Panels themselves have been pretty good

    Now, if there was a way to disable the IR function so that TV remotes woudlnt not switch units from cool to heat!
