I get you points. - The shaping is indeed a matter of taste, but since you are looking for a "Bond" style, i think it´s quite suiting. In my perception the 60s Sean Connery Bond style is very futuristic in a handmade kind of way, with nuts and bolts everywhere ;)

For the climate control, I think you might get a heat problem even with a white roof? - Because even if you are able to remove the complete backwall, the air will still not be moving much in the front of the space if there is no breeze going. It would be best to be able to pop either the complete or part of the roof up a little bit in order to create a chimney effect within the pilot house.

As for the construction, I don´t think you have to build it from wood, but go for fiberglass. Then either get a good artist to paint it (it worked really well on "Anastasia") or since it is such a small part, use the hydro transfer printing technique to apply a wooden structure.

Since the fore roof can be used as a sundeck, the mast should best go aft on the new PH roof. You could put some sunbeds onto the sundeck, fixed with some vintage looking leather straps. That might add a nice detail.

I must agree with Far, that a simple curve would probably be better than the fins on the back of the PH... anyway, here is what the profile would look like, if the dark wood is replaced with bleached teak.

I am quite curious on how your project will proceed, so I hope you will be able to post some photos of the new Alto soon :) .
  4. I asked your previous permission in using one of your 3d representation to show my details, easier understandings of my thoughts... Hope no problem on that. The copyright still belongs to you!

I really like the soft Teak appearance of Atomare, but i would put some kind of those chrome-wood in the white PH roof in order some calls of the side applies. Also the Windows windshield frame would be wood like to rescue the rest, but i would prefer a more classic shape according the lower rest to be more harmonic both in same styling way ages imo. Below are 2 different proposals of positions!

My suggestions of details: (your have to check the proportions of shapes of course)

    1. It can be 2 or just 1 Mast, but if only 1 then I would prefer in middle-aft the higher roof only. But if using 2 you can play one in chrome other in wood with the radar, flags and other things separated. I don't know well what exactly details in where to put, if the heights of both would be the same or different in some way, but i just made a material representation approximation as suggestion only.

    2. Maybe you can use the front white roof with a kind of 2 laying soft material places glued on roof, of course impermeable, but with a kind of articulated head rests behind for appreciation during cruise or laid down if not used. A satdome would be there in fore part in a kind of chrome support flying detail ornament in middle. At each side you could have wood handling racks for hand climb helping.

    3. I would do a kind of soft sunblades deflectors at the rear top roof for wind deflection use also...

The 3rd picture, using the 2, still shows how i think still need a correction in PH rear curve shape. (Here in red) --- The wind deflectors could be articulated or fixed!

I immagined that, hope you enjoyed. :)

  7. wait a minute, i think you miss-matched the 'portside' red & 'starboard' green positions. Where you have green is not red?
  8. Soft Cleaned - Clean suggestion of previous ...

No problem. Actually i considered cleaning roof with only 1 Mast, ontop of higher only. Chrome & Wood elements were still kept in a balance calling the rest. All electronic devices went just on one roof, while i left the sun bath area with larger soft material glued on for roof, using the windshield with head and upper body rest for appreciation. In middle of that i put some kind of chrome drinks holder to not falling down during trips. In same way i integrated more the sunblades-wind deflectors aft. Everything was better correct in perspective and tried more accurate curves on there...
