  1. Baia 70' "Italia"
    Express Evolution

The Italia 70’ is the follow-up model to the recently launched Baia One. Like the One, the Italia 70' began life as a design exercise targeting innovation, but quickly morphed into an open class yacht that shattered preconceived notions of style & function.

Baia has further exposed the "open" concept with an innovative glass house approach, resulting in a semi-edgy and totally transparent design. To create the elusive one-with-nature effect, Baia began by hiding the walls that separate us from our environment with a pair of aft deck doors that disappear into the superstructure when opened. The result is a vast open space stretching from the helm to the swim platform.
  2. Letting the sun shine in is a near 270-degree windshield granting unobstructed vertical views as well. What is normally shade on most cruisers… is an atrium on the Italia 70’! Adding to a worshipper’s delight, a near full-beam sliding roof panel slips away and hides within Italia’s aft super-structure.
  3. Blending rich minimalism with modern and traditional elements, the Italia 70’ strikes a balance between comfort and function. Teal soles span from stem to stern, creating an expansive party platform for the Med. Security is equally important to comfort, so Baia has equipped the Italia with ample walkways and handrails to reach the forward sun deck.
  4. Below deck, the master stateroom enjoys a panoramic view rivaling an exterior deck via a multitude of sidelight portholes. The interior furnishings were inspired by a concept of modern simplicity. Defined by selected materials, the dimensional master presents a diagonally placed birth.
  5. This same linearity is carried throughout the interior. Located forward, the VIP suite presents the same fine woods, bamboos and soft shades. What sets the forward berth apart from all others is a liberal view of the horizon.
  6. While Baia's Italia 70' will not launch for some time to come, it's already making a big splash on the boat show circuit. Look for the renderings to become reality in 2008.
