Heck, I guess I got the pic thing right.
Nice roamer from the 1970 how many foot
It is a 1974 60 footer. One of twelve delivered of this type. There were supposed to be 20 total.
Ok I think I've seen an ad where she was for sale we have a 60 foot in this town but is a flush deck
Hedgehog, that's one fine lookin' vessel you've got there.
What's she got for power?
Welcome to RoamerWorld. Will you keep it on Lake Guntersville? I have a steel 38 Roamer at Alreds.
She's a beauty!
Last thing I said on our thread.. "38 Restoration" was to have someone load a big one on the Thread and tell a story.. hope you will load it on our thread too!
Could you post some shots and some background on her on this thread above? It will get a lot of action there.
Thanks, she has 1271 TI's with 450 hours SMOH. For gens, a couple of 15kw Onans.
I will have to check out yours next time I am in Guntersville.
I moved her to Nickajack for now. It is not too far from my house in Mcminnville. They have to get me under cover.
OMG, those are some amazing boats! Thanks for showing me that.
Homer, I have a whole assortment of photos and the story. I am running to the boat right now but will post the details later.
That's a SUPER BRUTUS ROAMER you got there! We will be waiti ng to see it on the 38' restoration thread .. Last thing I asked for was some Super Roamer action to OUT DO the raging Roamer fans!
Wow, so you are the one that bought her. I was going to go to Gunnersville and look at her when the weather broke. She looks to be a fine boat and I know you would't buy her if she wasn't. Congrats and let me know if you get up the Knoxville.
Excellent! Gotta love those Detroits.
I've always wondered about the layout on the widebody 60s. Do you have split engine rooms ala Hatteras?
Yes, it has the slip ER. But they are bigger than the rooms in the Hatts.......
Thanks. I am pretty excited about her.
Will do. I will be up in Knoxville for the Bama Tenn game this fall
That's Great. I plan to be there. Let me know if you need anything up here and I will help anyway I can. It does get pretty wild sometimes. Kinda of like the Chattanooga River Bend Festival. If you want to spend some time in Knoxville after the game, you might want to rent out a covered slip at Volunteer Marina. Some people like to go to Gatlinburg for a night or two and their is a great restaurant, Ruth Kress Steak House, within walking distance from the U.T. Docks. Kinda of Pricey but really good. I will send you my contact info if you want me to. Congrats again on you beautiful Roamer. (Copy Cat)
Please pm me that contact info. That sounds good.
Also let me know if you come down to Chattanooga. I love going downtown for the evening.
Ok. I will send it. I would really like to go to Chattanooga this summer. I have moved the boat from Concord Marina to Ft. Loudon Marina, next to Ft. Loudon Dam. Maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle and talk Roamers. Both of these marinas have web sites.
I got the info and I am in. Maybe Watts Bar this summer?
