If you'll underwrite the listing for 20M USD, I'll buy.
Last I saw, she was in the 48M range.

Yes, built in '73 (by Schichau, Germany) and converted in '94.

    Isn't she a 77-meter yacht?

"Lone Ranger" has apparently been sold. She was sold during the Prestige Yacht Auction at the Antibes Yacht Show.

Owner wanted to get rid of it.
Lone ranger needs work and costs a lot to maintain.

I was at Auction on Saturday here in Monaco. The only yacht the got a bid and eventually got sold was Lone Ranger.

Starting price of the bid was at Euro 600K (USD 780K) and it got sold at Euro 750,000 (USD 975,000) . I saw the person bidding on behalf of a client on the phone. Didn't get to see who got to raise the initial bid from 650 to 700 in Antibes, before the MC bidder raised to 750K.

I have no idea on how much maintenance works the yacht must go through, but to accept to sell at less then $1M, there must have been a much greater investment to have the vessel sailing again, since the yacht was sold "as is, where is".

I do believe every word of that statement. I would put it on the hard and have people pay entrance fee to visit it. Maybe serving tea and cake on the aft deck.

If you care about soot particles on the sunpads, you have to give out umbrellas to the passengers on that boat. Those antenna domes are not painted black for design reasons.

    Cheers

    Lone Ranger

It would surprise me, if we will see LR back on the seven seas as a yacht in the near future. If it is correct, what the drums are telling, there is a LOT of work to be done on LR. Just the renewal of the classification will cost a fortune. This price of 750000,- Euros is probably the scrap value of LR. Lets wait and see. There are much more interesting boats to focus on, gentleman.

Here is one vessel that slipped my radar, the ex. "Lone Ranger" is now called the "Sea Ranger" and looks pretty different paint wise. I am not sure how long she has been like this.
