On a 2002 45 cabo Express, the Digital Voltage Meter Display on both the 24VDC and 120VAC panels have gone dark/dead. The rest of the panel works, its only the display not showin any information on either of the panels. Given that one is connected to 120 and the other one to 24v I am not sure what could have caused both panels to fail at the same time.

I checked with a tester and the 4 leads on each meter seem to have electricity going to them but they just wont display anything. The meter on the 24VDC side has a fuse but the fuse is fine.

Are the two panels connected to one another somehow?

Any ideas on what might be the issue or what to check?

I think you use a PanelTronics set up. Sounds like a common ground (DCv-) is loose.
There is another Cabo owner here that had a simular problem a while ago. I'll send him a note.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply!

How do I tell which setup I have? on both panels it has a wide display, the VAC panel shows "Line Voltage" on the left and "Load Current" on the right and the VDC panel shows "Battery Voltage" on the left and "Load Current" on the right. Not sure if that helps.

I sent a note out to the other Cabo owner. We have another jock here also who has worked on a few Cabos. Give them (& many others) till later today to get on line.

In the mean time; Do you have any schematics of the panels you can use?

I appologize and I thank you, there was a second fuse that I had not seen because it was hidden below several wires... that did the trick...

Was it blown? or failed from age, vibration?

It was blown. I had a guy install senders on the engine and gauges + trim tab controls up on the tower, I assume he did something while installing these that caused the fuse to blow. I replaced it, if it blows again I will have to have him re-check the wiring.

The fuse is probably not the only thing he has blown. Sounds like he shorted wires together somewhere along the way.
