  1. Lurssen Hands Over 104-meter Superyacht "Quantum Blue"
The confidential "Quantum Blue" project is now completed and appears to be handed over. The final name is actually "Quantum Blue". Sometimes the project name has nothing to do with the final name. The displacement superyacht stretches 104-meters long with an impressive beam in the region of 16.80-meters or around 55.44-feet overall. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure to a design by Tim Heywood, the Topaz-esq superyacht has an interior by the firm Alberto Pinto. Quantum Blue was the last of three superb superyachts to be delivered by Lurssen in 2014. Since delivery the other two, 66-meter "Ester III" and 95-meter "Kismet" have crossed the Atlantic to Caribbean Winter cruising grounds. Quantum Blue rises five decks above the waterline offering many amenities for her owner and guests. Although Lurssen has not commented on her features due to confidentiality, we know QB has a large pool situated on the forward sundeck. She also has facility for a helipad spot on her bow and when not in use it can be securely railed around. Her tenders are carried in a dedicated full-beam garage in the aft part of the hull/lower deck. At the time QB launched she was the second largest superyacht to touch water in 2014 only behind the Fincantieri 140-meter "Ocean Victory".
