Recently I acquired a 40' 1967 Connie Dual Salon, and the previous owner was unaware that the tarp had blown of of it at the outdoor storage facility where he was storing it for the winter...we live in WI, the winter in question was last years, and well, of course we had record snowfalls, coupled by an extremely wet spring.
I had the boat moved in the beginning of july, and moved it into my shop which is climate controlled. I gave it two months to dry out and began to work on it. She needed "a little" extra work on the Starboard side below the patio door, which included replacing a rib which split while attempting to hydraulically raise her out of the saturated soil in July. Well as I am sure that nayone reading this is aware, its not just a broken rib, it is blah blah blah and oh ya blah blah blah blah blah, then I noticed ....
Well I have removed a majority of the Strake boards on the starboard sid and have slowly straightened the hull and chine, but I just noticed that the Keel is no longer being supported closest to the stern. I have attempted to lower the transom, and raise the bow to know avail. I also have to replace roughly eight feet of the starboard chine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to YF. No good suggestions here, except that you should post some pics of the damage so the members can get a better idea of exactly what the situation is.
Also, this should serve as notice to all boaters to check their boats at least every month while in storage. I've seen and now you've seen that some amazingly bad things can happen to boats during winter storage and they don't get better with time. Much better to find out in January than on that first nice day of Spring when you hope to take the shakedown cruise.

This thread, as well as your other thread, have been moved to the Chris Craft forum, where they will be better indexed, thus giving you better potential responses to your questions.

    Morning True,
I don't know if MY experiences with a 1950 34' CC Commander would be applicable BUT over the course of ownership we did replace some 8'-10 of chine on both sides (white oak) as well as sistering numerous ribs, knees and battens. If I can be of any help, don't hesitate. By the way, I'm NOT a shipwright. Oh, and welcome to the site.
