    Hi,

I have seen people try and save money on Dockage by quoting the waterline length, and length between perpendiculars when booking in.

Not so easy to explain when your "50m " yacht sticks out the end of a 50m berth by 7 or 8m.

AIS is supposed to show the vessel length to the nearest meter, as yachting is such a dick waving operation I don't think any Master of what may well be the biggest swinging object in the world would use a measurement less than the max he or she possible could - Do you?

Diminishing genuine measurements of Mega-Yachts is a common practice, as I could notice.
    Reasons?
Theare is a whale of them!
Saving money on Dockage is not the only.
    Do you know the others?

    Pool as dance floor

In looking at the Flickr images in post #89, the pool below the glass is easy to see, but what would all of the bits surrounding the glass floor be? They look more suited to a pool deck.

Also, in the foredeck picture, could this be a moving helipad/hangar? In the style of Ilona, and rumored to be on his old yacht Ecstasea?

I wasn't sure if this was covered earlier.

As to foredeck the hangar/helipad is of the same design like Ecstasea (and future Fincantieri Hull 6154) - with sliding lids and elevator.
Ilona has different construction - more complicated and more interesting.
The subject is: how many choppers Eclipse hangar able to enclose.
I think - 2, due to the yacht size.

I believe Eclipse is getting closer to delivery. The railings are now installed around the heli-hanger and tenders are being added onto the vessel. It looks like one will be a catamaran tender.

  10. Since some months this yacht ECLIPSE, the last work remaining in Shipyard, all others were already delivered, only today entered again at Dk17 Fjord SwimmDock after reviews, it does not matter much, cause it is not yacht... well btw, i just want to take attention the Shipyard is almost empty without much work to do since long, but still nothing more heard about the yacht, neither new photos no where. Can someone tell why? because as I had ever have as info, she was to be delivered maximum until end this year, probably now in November. What happened if has much free ressources,>80%, there?

The owner of Eclipse is the same like from the 115 metre Yacht Luna
the yachts have the Same Tender :
the Tenders have à Green coulor
sorry but i haven't own pictures of zhem.

the shipyard has big problems with the owner
because the biggest Boulevard magazine of Germany has shown
    interiour Pictures of the Yacht

So the Yard must maybe pay a lot of Money.
  12. So, it seems in your opinion then, the owner want a discount in the huge costs all made during all those last at least 2 years? Is das financially with lawyers in maybe discussion then? Is the Yacht really finished? I've since long not seen any Sea(river)Trials any more, maybe since 2 months? Is B+V going in Bankruptcy Process or Insolvency, because all those immense Yacht Financial Problems recently? For me seems ABD+TK did not worked well, isn't it? I know most of that are my suposition, but...

I heard only from a informant that the shipyard in trouble with the owner is.
    I haven't other information.

    a other question :
Doanbody know how much the yacht cost?
Some people say 300million Dollars other people say 800million Dollars ...
  14. Ok, I heard once, taken from a web found source, see below more, it was thought to be sold once for 1 billion Euros, very difficult to find a buyer, maybe why Le Grand Bleu and the Fleet was reviewed, clear replaced by introduced Luna, same tenders appearance in yellow-lemon of Luna, with different lines in the last, longest in world, but in 'fleet' is not some 6 but only 3 or 4 now, Eclipse, Pelorus, Luna, Ecstasea (? probably already given away) Susurro (don't know anymore, but seemed to him, the smallest), one he gave to a woman, ex-married, something like that, more or less the second summe was already drop in her cost at least to build her..
300 million pounds were the summe 5 years ago in the beggining of construction, this went much more then after 2008, first reviews, his story below from other source. Le Grand Bleu went in refit to new owner at Peterswerft this year and it is since long already delivered.

    Source:
Heard the old saw about the sailor who has a girl at every port? Russian industrialist magnate Roman Abramovich is well on his way to having a different megayacht stationed in each of the world's most exclusive ports of call. Abramovich owns two vessels on the Power & Motoryacht 100: the 377'3" Pelorus and the 282'0" Ecstasea. Rumor has it he gave a previous yacht, the 370'0" Le Grand Bleu, to a friend. But Abramovich, whose worth is estimated by Forbes magazine at $18.7 billion, may be losing a member of his fleet. As reported last spring on the Power & Motoryacht Editors Blog by executive editor Diane M. Byrne (Roman Abramovich: Yachtless?), rumors abound of a divorce settlement that may result in Abramovich owning one fewer boat when the dust settles. Byrne reminded us not to pity him: He's said to also own a vessel codenamed Eclipse, which is under construction at German yard Blohm + Voss and is in the 500-foot range.

Other interesting as many Cruise German small companies went insolvent like Transtours (Transocen chartered the ship in his name to other), Peter Deilmann definetely passed to Aurelius, now Delphin sent back 2 others ships, Hapag Lloyd Cruises with other investors, seems really big changes in this industry recently here, you know...

Interiors are down to personal tastes so it isn't fair to speak for everyone. Maybe say personally you think "Pelorus" interior is nice :)
