I have seen the releases on Liberty and new designs, but I can't find any news on any new orders or deliveries. Has anyone else heard anything or are they doing commercial builds or what news does anyone have? I have chartered a Burger. Would hate to see them fade from the scene.

They are awaiting your call to build your new, custom Burger.

In the meanwhile, here's a nice read:

Great trip although Ice isn't my cup of tea. But the photos were beautiful. Also a bit surprised they did that with only the two owners and three other crew members. I had read that story before but was great to read it again.

I was wondering about Burger..Whats happening?? You hear about new contracts and deliveries all the time from other brands. Bennetti and Horizon come to mind, with several orders/deliveries from American clients.

Why not build the same yachts at Burger? Is the cost difference so much? it surly can't be the quality of the Burger yachts!

Well, one reason would be Burger builds Aluminum and Steel and the ones you mention build primarily glass in those ranges.

Burger has had difficult times before and the last I heard was doing some commercial work.

However, they are exceptionally quiet and I don't interpret that as a good sign. It should be noted that Trinity seems to be relying a lot on commercial work too (actuallly companies related to Trinity). Which combined would indicate some real problems with US metal boat builders. The US market for aluminum (and steel) in the size ranges Burger builds appears to have largely disappeared.

I would certainly hate to see Burger disappear.
